HOW TO GET VENICE

How to get Venice from the Marco Polo Venice Airport:

Venice Marco Polo Airport is approximately 14 Km far from Venice city centre and is connected to the city by water bus, water taxi, road bus and road taxi.

Venice Marco Polo Airport is approximately 14 Km far from Venice city centre and is connected to the city by water bus, water taxi, road bus and road taxi.
From Marco Polo Venice Airport the easiest and cheapest way to get the centre of Venice by water is to take the ALILAGUNA waterbus, a direct service between Marco Polo Airport and the Venice centre. It is possible to choose between for lines:
1. The BLUE line which makes the following stops: Murano, F.ta Nove, Lido, S. Zaccaria, St' Mark's Square, Zattere, Hilton Molino Stucky, Tronchetto. It runs from 7.10 in the morning till 00.10 a.m.. Tickets cost € 13,00.
2. The RED line which makes the following stops: Murano, Lido, Arsenale, S.Zaccaria, S.Marco, Zattere, Molino Stucky, Tronchetto. It runs from 9.15 a.m. to 7.15 p.m.. Tickets cost € 13,00.
 3. The ORANGE line which makes the following stops: Murano, Madonna dell'Orto, Rail Station (Guglie), Rialto, Sant'Angelo. It runs from 9.00 a.m. to 11.40 p.m.. Tickets cost € 13,00.
4. The GOLD line which makes the following stops: S. Zaccaria and St' Mark's Square. It runs from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.. Tickets cost € 25,00.

Otherwise, from Marco Polo Venice Airport you can take the ACTV or ATVO road buses that end at Piazzale Roma (road taxi and bus terminal).
ACTV road bus n° 5 (orange bus) to Piazzale Roma leaves from the platforms outside the arrival hall. The drive takes approximately 25 minutes and the one way tickets cost € 2,00. Information about the timetable and prices are available in the ACTV web-site at http://www.actv.it/.
ATVO road bus (blue bus) to Piazzale Roma leaves from the platforms outside the arrival hall. The drive takes approximately 20 minutes and the one way ticket cost € 3,00 (luggage included). Information about the timetable and prices is available in the ATVO web-site at http://www.atvo.it/.

A Water taxi from the airport can take you directly to your hotel (or its nearest landing area). Prices are based on the number of people in the taxi and they can vary after 8 p.m. and on Sundays and holidays. The price is approximately € 100,00 for up to 4 people from the airport to the city centre and the journey time is about 30 minutes. How to get Venice from the Treviso Canova Airport:
Treviso Canova Airport is approximately 41 km far from the Venice city centre and is connected to the city by road taxi and bus.
Road Bus: ATVO buses run between the airport and Piazzale Roma (Venice road taxi and bus terminal) and are in connection with departures and arrivals flights. The cost is € 6.00 for a one way ticket and € 10.00 for a return ticket, valid 7 days (luggage included). Tickets can be purchased at the ATVO ticket office in the arrival hall. The journey time is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes under good traffic conditions. For timetables and further information call +39.0422.315381 or visit the ATVO website.
Road Taxi: A road taxi from the airport to Piazzale Roma costs approximately € 70.00. Road taxis are available in front of the airport terminal.

How to get Venice City Centre from Piazzale Roma (road, taxi and bus terminal) and the Railway Station:
The vaporettos, or public waterbuses, run 24 hours a day, less frequently after midnight. A number of lines travel on different routes throughout the City and pick you up near your hotel or other destination sites. You will need to buy a ticket before boarding. Tickets cost € 6,50 for a one way journey and allow travel on all services for 60 minutes from ticket’s validation time. If you board without a ticket you must request one from the attendant. Alternatively short term season tickets can be bought from the waterbus stop landing area. They allow unlimited travel and all the services can be used – both on water and on land – that provide urban services within the municipality of Venice (land service on the Lido and in Mestre):
12-hour ticket: € 14,00
24-hour ticket: € 16,00
36-hour ticket: € 21,00
48-day ticket: € 26,00
36-day ticket: € 31,00
Remember to validate your ticket before departure.
The boat lines leaving from Piazzale Roma and the Railway Station (Ferrovia) are:

  • Number 1 is a route running from PIAZZALE ROMA/RAILWAY STATION to VENICE LIDO. This boat is the slower route because it makes every stop along the Grand Canal (Riva De Biasio, S. Marcuola, S. Stae, Ca’ D’oro, RIALTO, S. Silvestro, S. Angelo, S. Tomà, Ca’Rezzonico, ACCADEMIA, Giglio, Salute, S.MARCO (Vallaresso), S. ZACCARIA, Arsenale, Giardini, S. Elena, LIDO).
  • Number 2 is a circular route going throughout Venice, leaving in two directions from PIAZZALE ROMA. The anti-clockwise route to PIAZZA SAN MARCO stops at TRONCHETTO, THE GIUDECCA ISLAND, ZATTERE, SAN GIORGIO and stopping at Piazza San Marco (S. ZACCARIA). The clockwise route goes through the Grand Canal stopping at FERROVIA, RIALTO, ACCADEMIA and finally arriving Piazza San Marco (VALLARESSO).
  • Number 41 is a circular route going around the Island of Venice, not going through the Grand Canal, stopping at THE GIUDECCA ISLAND, S.ZACCARIA, GIARDINI, F.TA NOVE, MURANO, F.TA NOVE and back around to FERROVIA and to PIAZZALE ROMA.
  • Number 42 is a circular route going around the Island of Venice, not going through the Grand Canal but going around the north of the island, stopping at F.TA NOVE, MURANO, F.TA NOVE, GIARDINI, S.ZACCARIA, THE GIUDECCA ISLAND and back round to FERROVIA and to PIAZZALE ROMA.
  • Number 51 is a circular route not going through the Grand Canal, stopping at ZATTERE, S.ZACCARIA, GIARDINI, LIDO, F.TA NOVE, TRE ARCHI and back around to FERROVIA and PIAZZALE ROMA.
  • Number 52 is a circular route not going through the Grand Canal, stopping at TRE ARCHI, F.TA NOVE, LIDO, GIARDINI, Piazza San Marco (S. ZACCARIA), ZATTERE and back around to PIAZZALE ROMA and FERROVIA.
  • Number 61 is a route travelling between Piazzale Roma and THE LIDO, stopping at ZATTERE, Piazza S. Marco (S. ZACCARIA) and GIARDINI.

There are many landing areas at Piazzale Roma and at the railway station, so be sure to ask before you board the waterbus that it is going in the right direction. For further information on the waterbus services please check the ACTV website.

Car Parks
In Piazzale Roma all garages are open 24 hours a day, all year round. You can choose between:
Autorimessa Comunale A.S.M. S.p.a., that is Venice's biggest car park with 2,300 parking spaces. There is a € 21,00 fixed rate charge for parking up to 24 hours;
Sant' Andrea car park, that is located just behind Piazzale Roma, has only 132 park spaces and charges € 4,50 for every two hours. It’s the ideal solution for those who need to park for a short period.
Garage San Marco S.p.a, that is also located in Piazzale Roma, charges € 20,00 for 12 hours and € 26,00 for 24 hours.
An other car park is located on Tronchetto island. Tronchetto island car park is open 24 hours a day, all year round
It has about 3,500 parking spaces and charges a fixed rate of € 18.00 for up to 24 hours. You can easily get Venice from Tronchetto by taking the ACTV boat, number 2, which brings you to the heart of the city or by taking the ACTV bus, line 6/, that brings you to Piazzale Roma.




HOW TO GET MOLINO STUCKY

Hilton Molino Stucky is located on the island of the Giudecca, just a few minutes by boat from St. Mark’s Square and 10km (40 minutes by boat) from Venice Marco Polo Airport.
You can get the hotel by waterbus or water taxi from your land arrival point. In addition, there is a regular complimentary hotel shuttle boat from Hotel Molino Stucky and St. Mark’s Square / “Zattere” stop. If you are arriving in Venice by car, there is easy access from all major motorways. Coming by train you will arrive at Venezia San Lucia railway station. To get the Giudecca island and Hilton Molino Stucky.you can take a waterbus or a water taxi in front of the station.

How to get Molino Stucky from Marco Polo Airport
Transfers by private water taxi (also with hostess)
Taxis are generally available in great number at the water taxi pier. If no taxis are available, please call the hotel concierge for assistance. The cost is approximately € 100/110 (up to 4 persons and 1 piece of luggage per person) and addition charges are applied for evening or early morning transfers. Please advise the concierge of your arrival details (including train compartment and seat number) at least 24 hours in advance.
Transfers by private water taxi and hostess can be arranged through Molino Stucky Hilton Concierge. In this event, guests will be welcomed upon arrival by a hostess with a name sign just outside the arrival area and will be accompanied to their taxi. The cost is approximately € 180/205 (up to 6 persons and 1 piece of luggage per person) including porterage and the transfer time is about 30/40 minutes. Please remember to anticipate for evening or early morning travel, extra luggage transfers and that full arrival details including flight number should be advised at least 24 hours in advance.
Transfers by waterbus Alilaguna
The transfer by waterbus (Alilaguna) from/to airport directly to Hilton Molino Stucky cost € 15 per person, and it takes approximately 1h30 min / 2 hrs.

Transfer by land taxi
The transfer by land taxi to Piazzale Roma costs approximately € 35 (up to 4 persons and 1 piece of luggage per person) and it takes about 20 minutes. From Piazzale Roma to Hilton Molino Stucky (“Palanca” stop) there are two waterbus lines (41 or 2, the route is Piazzale Roma–Giudecca). The ticket of the waterbus costs € 6,50 per person and the journey time is 30 min. Guests are expected to make their own way from the waterbus “Palanca” stop to the hotel (few minutes walk).

How to get Molino Stucky from Canova Airport
Treviso Canova Airport is approximately 41 km far from the Venice city centre and is connected to the city by road taxi and bus.
Road Bus: ATVO buses run between the airport and Piazzale Roma (Venice road taxi and bus terminal) and are in connection with departures and arrivals flights. The cost is € 6.00 for a one way ticket and € 10.00 for a return ticket, valid 7 days (luggage included). Tickets can be purchased at the ATVO ticket office in the arrival hall. How to get Molino Stucky from Piazzale Roma (road, taxi and bus terminal) and the Railway Station:
Take the waterbus number 2 or 41 and get off at the “Palanca” stop. From “Palanca” walk for few minutes straight on your right and you arrive directly at Molino Stucky Hilton Hotel.
An other way to get Molino Stucky from Piazzale Roma is to take a taxi, but this solution is very expensive.

Shuttle
The Hilton Molino Stucky offers a complimentary shuttle boat service from/to St. Marks Square (“San Zaccaria” stop) and from/to "Zattere". HOW TO GET FONDAZIONE GIORGIO CINI

The waterbus to use in order to get the Fondazione Giorgio Cini is line 2.
The line 2 waterbus leaves for the San Giorgio Island from the (Ferrovia) railway station, Piazzale Roma (car and bus terminal), “Zattere” stop, “Palanca” stop and “San Zaccaria” stop with a frequency of 10 minutes.
If your hotel is located near the Zattere and Accademia area the line 2 waterbus stop is “Zattere”. It leaves for the San Giorgio Island with a journey time of approximately 11 minutes. The ticket costs € 6,50. Waterbuses leave every 10 minutes “past ten” (7.10 a.m., 7.20 a.m., 7.30 a.m., etc.) and every 20 minutes since 9.50 p.m.
If your hotel is located near the St. Mark’s area, the line 2 waterbus stop, “San Zaccaria”, can be found on the Riva degli Schiavoni - the promenade located to the left of St. Mark’s Square (facing the waterfront). Line 2 waterbus leaves for the San Giorgio Island (only one stop) with a journey time of approximately 3 minutes from the first landing stage. One stop ticket costs € 2,00.
Waterbuses leave every 10 minutes “past nine” (8.09 a.m., 8.19 a.m., 8.29 a.m., etc.) from 8.29 a.m. to 8.19 p.m. and every 20 minutes “past nine” (8.49 p.m., 9.09 p.m., 9.29 p.m., etc.) from 9.49 p.m. until 8.09 a.m..
If your hotel is Molino Stucky Hilton we have organised a directly service boat in correspondence of the opening cerimonyu and first plenary session on monday morning. You can also take line 2 at Palanca Stop, few minutes walk from the hotel.
Please be advised that line 2 leaves from other boat stops on the Riva degli Schiavoni but do not go directly to the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore. It is advisable to ask the boat conductor to confirm your final destination.
