SeaConditions key protagonist at 2016 Brindisi Corfu regatta

High resolution forecasts, real-time information about sea state and weather conditions, a daily bulletin provided to all the participants. At 2016 edition of Brindisi-Corfu regatta, SeaConditions, a service providing ocean and weather forecasts developed by Links SPA and CMCC, played a crucial role while supporting yacht crews during the competition. At its 31st edition, the Brindisi-Corfu regatta is regarded as one of the most important trans-adriatic yacht race.

In 2016, the long history of the prestigious Brindisi-Corfu competition joined to forefront innovation and widespread diffusion of essential data for competing crews. SeaConditions services provided in fact ongoing support to sailing teams while supplying timely and reliable information on sea and weather forecasts.
SeaConditions is available on web and mobile (Google Play and  Apple Store) and can be an useful tool for several kind of users.

SeaConditions service was free of charge for all the sailing teams participating in the regatta and daily bulletins were sent by email. The regatta took place on June 8-10, 2016; the “Luduan Reloaded” Team placed first. Its ship owner Giovanni Sylos Labini (CEO Planetek Italia) congratulated with Giovanni Coppini, OPA and Ocean-Lab Director, coordinator of the team providing forecasts during the regatta.
