2015 Climate Cinema è una serie di eventi che sis volgono in cinque appuntamenti distinti tra febbraio e giugno 2015. Ciascuna sessione dell’iniziativa mostrerà al pubblico dei cortometraggi sul tema dei cambiamenti climatici.

The event is organized by ICCG in collaboration with International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

2015 Climate Cinema is a series of events taking place in five parts from February to June 2015. Each session will show a screening of one to two short films dealing with climate change. These films come from past editions of Think Forward Film Festival that takes place every year in Venice to showcase films on climate change and renewable energy. In addition, a short IFAD film/report addressing climate change will also be shown. A panel including one person from Think Forward Film Festival/International Center for Climate Governance and one person from IFAD will be available to answer the audience’s questions.

Il giovane documentarista Derek Hallquist è stato invitato a visitare il patrigno della moglie, il dottor Paolo Shepson è un chimico atmosferico che vive a Barrow, in Alaska. Nelle sue peripezie intorno al Dr. Shepson e alla sua squadra, egli impara che la gente del posto celebra la scienza e la ricerca che viene svolta in quei luoghi. Con sua sorpresa, la comunità conta sugli scienziati per diffondere la notizia al resto degli Stati Uniti. Attraverso questo cortometraggio egli spera di sensibilizzare tramite la sua testimonianza la gente al cambiamento climatico, facendo capire quanto sia un problema reale di cui tutti ci dovremmo preoccupare.

Juan è un bambino che non ha amici. Anche la Nube è sola, esclusa dalle altre nuvole. I due protagonisti si incontrano diventando amici. Tuttavia, Juan cresce e si perde nel grigio mondo degli adulti, disinteressato ai problemi ambientali.
