Stergios Athanasoglou holds a PhD in operations research from Columbia University and a BA in mathematics from Yale University. He is a post doc at CMCC where he works within CD-LINKS project and a Research Fellow at the IEFE Institute at Bocconi University where he works as a post-doc on the ERC-funded project RISICO. Before joining Bocconi, he held research positions with the Earth Institute of Columbia University, FEEM, and the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. His research interests lie in the interface of economic theory and optimization. In the context of the RISICO project, he is particularly interested in formal models of decision making under uncertainty and their application to environmental policy.
