General aims
The project aims to spread the culture of safety at sea through the dissemination of information regarding the forecasts of weather and sea conditions, using new technologies and new media distribution channels, filling some of the problems that currently limit the forecasts delivery, endangering the safety of sea operators.
Expected results
Technological optimization to provide information, using alternative channels (eg . Web, mobile , WebTV ) and exploring new techniques of visualization of forecast products, such as the three-dimensionality of the current data, temperature, salinity of the sea .
Activity
Interaction with end-users; production of weather and sea forecasts for the Apulian coast and the open sea; scientific content definition for the sea-dictionary and the weekly magazine; realization of weekly video-bulletins.
