C-GLORS v7 monthly means have been released for the period 1990-2016. C-GLORSv7 features an increased vertical resolution (75 depth levels), an upgraded ocean model version (NEMO-LIM2 3.6) and improved observational quality control (VarQC). The dataset is realeased along with analysis and bias correction increments, the corresponding control run (assimilation-free) and ancillary files. Data are provided over the native grid (ORCA025), together with geometrical parameters and tools for interpolation onto regular grids.

The CMCC Global Ocean Physical Reanalysis System (C-GLORS) is used at CMCC to simulate the state of the ocean in the last decades. It consists of a variational data assimilation system (OceanVar), capable of assimilating all in-situ observations along with altimetry data, and a forecast step performed by the ocean model NEMO coupled with the LIM2 sea-ice model.
There are two versions of C-GLORS currently released (v5 and the latest v7) that are run at eddy permitting resolution (about 1/4 degree of horizontal resolution) and covering the meteorological satellite era, plus historical reanalyses performed at 1/2 degree of resolution, covering the entire XX century and referred to as CHOR (CMCC Historical Ocean Reanalysis).

CHOR monthly means have been released for the period 1900-2010 from an ensemble of four historical reanalyses that combine two atmospheric forcing (NOAA/CIRES 20CRv2 and ECMWF ERA-20C) with two strategies for assimilating sea surface temperature data (assimilation and nudging), all containing subsurface data assimilation.
