Planet under Pressure, feeling the pulse of the Earth

The major international conference in advance of the UN Rio+20 Summit to feel the pulse of our planet: 2500 scientists, policy makers, industry and media representatives will meet in London at the Planet under Pressure Conference on March 26 – 29, 2012. While they will talk about the latest research findings on the state of the Earth, and discuss about how to change our model of economic development in order to achieve a more global sustainable growth, science centres and museum worldwide will arrange 150 public events to illustrate its topics and outcomes to the general public.
The Planet under Pressure Conference organizers, DIVERSITAS, International Geosphere -Biosphere Programme, International Human Dimensions Programme, World Climate Research Programme and their Earth System Science Partnership, have in fact joined with science centres and museums all around the world to promote public awareness and engagement with science.
All the events will be focused on the Planet under Pressure Conference and the Rio+20 Summit; they will try to make the point on the state of the planet and will present the breaking science news directly from the Planet under Pressure Conference in many different ways, from live streaming of conference sessions and seminars to debates and presentations.
