The three IONIO project partners (CMCC, HCMR and ENEA) will meet later this month in Corfu to check the progress of the activities and the development of products and services for the implementation of the “Ionian Marine Integrated Observatory”.
In particular, the two-day conference will be attended by both the scientific and administrative teams, together with the Scientific Advisory Board, composed of three external members as experts in oceanography. They will be asked to review the achievements and make suggestions for further development of the project.
Within the two days of works, will also be held the first consultation meeting with Greek and Italian stakeholders, a representation of potential end-users of the IONIO services.
This dialogue with the stakeholders is aimed at testing and improving the decision support systems developed by IONIO. The Stakeholders are representatives from the maritime sector and include members of the port authorities of Greece and Italy, environmental protection agencies, sailors and shipping companies.
