The Summer School is organised in the framework of the European Project “Proterina-C”.
The lectures will focus on the most important results obtained within the Project, and will be related to:

  • Characterization of the combustion parameters of the Mediterranean vegetation;
  •  Fire danger modelling;
  • Fire spread and behaviour modelling and analysis of case studies;
  •  Evaluation of practices of fire risk prevention and mitigation;
  •  Communication and information strategies on the relationship between climate change and fire risk.

The lectures will be given by researchers and experts selected among the Partners of the Proterina-C Project (DIPNET, CNR-IBIMET, Regione Liguria, ARPAS, Université de Corse, Protezione Civile-Regione Sardegna).
