The scientific program includes more then 100 abstracts from several organizations including universities and research institutes, ensuring we can build an interesting programme on the current Italian experience on climate research, and policy action.

Plenary lectures

We are extremely excited this year to announce the name of our plenary sessions speakers.
ANDREA KARPATI, Climate-KIC Head of Policy, (UK) will interprets the latest the developments in climate science and policy with a talk focused on the European strategies to bridge Paris Agreement into actions.
FIAMMA STRANEO, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, (USA) will illustrate us the high latitude North Atlantic and Arctic oceans and their role in climate and climate variability on seasonal to multi-decadal timescales.

Food and forests at risk: how can climate services help?

On 20th October 2016 a workshop session about food and forest at risk will enrich our discussion as part of the SECTEUR (Sector Engagement for the Copernicus Climate Change Service: Translating European User Requirements), an European project that aims at providing sectoral user requirements to ultimately tailor climate information. The workshop is led by Wageningen Environmental Research (Alterra) with the support of CMCC Foundation.
