She is Research Leader of the Numerical Modeling Group since 2015, leading the numerical developments and design of novel operational procedures for regional configurations in the Central Mediterranean and in the Black Sea.
She is responsible of the numerical and operational development of the Adriatic-Ionian Forecasting System (AIFS – http://oceanlab.cmcc.it/aifs/).
In the frame of Copernicus Marine Service for the Black Sea Monitoring and Forecasting Center (http://marine.copernicus.eu), she is Service Manager Responsible and Responsible for the Physics Production Unit, guaranteeing service evolution, continuous production and delivery of ocean physics products and their quality.
She is also Task 3.7 Leader within JERICO-NEXT project, related to optimal OSE/OSSE systems in coastal areas. In the frame of the NEMO Community Model (Nucleus for European Modeling of the Ocean, http://www.nemo-ocean.eu/), she is Scientist of the System Team and Leader of the Configuration Manager Working Group.
Since 2016, she is Permanent Representative of Italy within World Meteorological Organization (WMO-GDPFS) for the Global Data Processing and Forecasting Systems Group and Member of the Steering Group. She collaborates and supports CMCC OPA Division national and international projects in the framework of ocean modelling, operational oceanography and research-to-operations activities.
She holds a Ph.D. in Hydraulic Environmental Engineering in 2012 from the University of Calabria (Italy) and a M.Sc. Degree in Environmental Engineering cum laude in 2007 from the same University.
