Eleonora Cogo is a Senior Scientific Manager in the Climate Simulation and Prediction division in Bologna. As a member of the Italian delegation, she participates in the UN climate negotiations (UNFCCC) which led to the Paris Agreement, and is a negotiator for the European Union. She also supports the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) focal point for Italy.
Currently, she serves as a Board Member of the Adaptation Fund. Previously, she co-chaired the European Expert Group on Adaptation (EGA).
Before joining CMCC, she worked as a Senior Project Manager on emission reduction projects (CDM) at Ecosecurities (subsidiary of J.P. Morgan) in Oxford, U.K. and on emission trading schemes (EU-ETS) while at Bartucci SpA. She holds a degree in Environmental Engineering (Trento University) with a MSc in Environmental Management (Aalborg University). In 2016, she completed an MBA at IE Business School. In 2017 she won Italy’s Global Impact Challenge and participated in Singularity University’s Global Solutions Program at NASA Research Park in Silicon Valley.
