Francesco Vona is a senior economist at the French Economic Observatory of Sciences-Po (OFCE), that he joined in 2010 after studying economics and working as a post-doctorate researcher at the University of Roma La Sapienza. Dr. Vona is also affiliated to the research center on Knowledge, Technology and Organization of SKEMA Business School, to the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change, visiting professor at Ca’ Foscari University and visiting research fellow at the Grantham Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at LSE.
Francesco/Dr. Vona is an applied economist with a broad range of interests in environmental, labour and international economics. He primarily works at the intersection of environmental and labour economics, with a particular focus on distributional impacts across skill groups and on the identification of the winners and losers of the low-carbon transition. His research spans also other domains of environmental economics such as estimating the effect of policies on emissions, micro-econometric estimates of the carbon leakage, drivers of green innovation and the measurement of green production and exports.
