ABSTRACT:
This paper explains key technologies of Artificial Intelligence (AI), namely machine learning, expert systems, speech recognitions, gesture recognition, and related techniques. The intention is to give an introduction for laymen illustrating each technique with maritime examples taken from personal experience and literature. The paper also discussed limitations of AI techniques.
