Climate Policy Watcher: a new ICCG observatory

Posted on

The International Center for Climate Governance (ICCG) has launched the Climate Policy Watcher, a new observatory which aims at providing a careful snapshot of current climate and energy policies at both national and international level.
To this purpose, Climate Policy Watcher gathers a wide variety of information into a single interactive tool. Climate Policy Watcher provides climate and energy policy related news, in-depth analyses and official documents. The research carried out by the observatory focuses on issues currently at the centre of the international debate and undertaken at domestic level, such as mitigation and adaptation policies, measures to support renewable technologies, emission trading systems, carbon finance etc.
An interactive map also allows to access such information for each single country or per geographical regions. In addition, detailed country profiles provide a comprehensive view of the main measures implemented in key countries for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Finally, Climate Policy Watcher keeps track of international negotiations – taking place within and outside the UNFCCC- thanks also to a calendar of related events.
Thanks to the straightforward language along with the user-friendly interface the observatory is easily accessible to any interested party. At the same time, the detailed content makes it a useful tool for experts, think tanks and stakeholders working on climate change governance.
Users can subscribe to a newsletter by topics of interest as well as to an RSS feed service.
