Biological and Environmental Sciences and Technologies

The PhD program in Biological and Environmental Sciences and Technologies aims to train researchers that can work independently, in cellular and molecular biotechnologies, biodiversity, ecology, environmental monitoring and modeling, including climate change and urban meteorology. Seminars will offer a clear vision of problems, methodologies and perspectives in the fields above-mentioned.

PhD students will be involved in research activities carried out by the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences and Technologies, they will be trained to analyse and process the results obtained critically, to disseminate them inside the scientific community through publications in international reviews, conferences, congress, and they will be trained to actively contribute to the dissemination of the scientific culture in general.

The PhD program involves different cultural areas and is composed by two curricula:

  • Biology and Biotechnologies
  • Biodiversity, Ecology and Environment

The PhD program in “Biological and Environmental sciences and technologies” is coordinated by Prof. Santo Marsigliante.
