Piazzolla Daniele

Daniele Piazzolla holds a PhD in Ecology and Sustainable Management of Environmental Resources from the University of Tuscia (Italy). He has been collaborating with CMCC since 2019, contributing to both national and international research projects.

His research focuses on assessing the impacts of anthropogenic pressures on coastal marine ecosystems, using innovative technologies such as unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to collect high-resolution data in coastal environments.

His main areas of interest include the testing of innovative and cost-effective technologies for environmental monitoring, as well as the evaluation of pollutant concentrations and the distribution of marine litter. He is also involved in assessing ecosystem services in coastal areas.
