The second edition of the UPTAKE CDR Stakeholders Workshop, organized in the framework of the UPTAKE project coordinated by the CMCC Foundation – Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change, will take place on 9 October 2025 at the Crowne Plaza Athens City Centre, in Athens, Greece. The event will be held in a hybrid format, with opportunities for both in-person and remote participation. The workshop will start at 9:00 AM (Athens local time).

Building on the success and insights of the first edition in 2024, this second workshop will continue to foster dialogue among researchers, policymakers, business leaders, and civil society representatives on the role of Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) in climate strategies.

The event will bring together experts from diverse fields including policy, governance, technological innovation, business models, and societal perceptions around CDR. It will also provide an important opportunity to share preliminary results from the UPTAKE project and to collect expert feedback that will inform the next phases of research.

As a valued stakeholder, your contribution will be essential to advancing effective and inclusive CDR strategies. We warmly invite you to take part in the discussions and share your insights.
