Mazzarano Matteo

Matteo Mazzarano is affiliated with the “Information Systems for Climate science and Decision-making” (ISCD) Division. As a junior research fellow at the Department of Political and International Sciences of the University of Siena, he also studies the distributional implications of climate policies. He holds a Ph.D. in “Circular Economy and its Socio-Economic Values” from the University of Ferrara (2021), obtaining the “Doctor Europeus” award.

As a lecturer and researcher, he visited the Catholic University of Leuven and the Universität Bodenkultur of Vienna. He investigated Climate Finance as a postdoc at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, affiliated with the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei. He is a member of the IAERE (Italian Association of Environmental and Resource Economists) and the EAERE (European Association of Environmental and Resource Economics). He has published academic articles in journals such as Resources Policy, Journal of Cleaner Production and Ecological Economics.

He is currently involved in the MAGICA project to address climate adaptation policies’ political and economical implications.
