General aims
The aim of the project is to produce scientific information in order to set, conduct and follow actions to support decisions (in the field of health) regarding the Italian presidency of the G7 (2017), both as regards the health component of the summit of Heads of State in May 2017, and as regards the health sector in its several formulations, culminating in the ministerial meeting of November 2017, focusing in particular on defining and proposing a mitigation strategy for the effects of climate change on the human and planetary health.

Expected results
Deepen the knowledge for impact and vulnerability analysis of the fragile areas of the country with particular attention to the indirect effects of the environmental impacts on the health for formulating a strategy in order to prevent and mitigate the negative effects of CC and for the evaluation of the effectiveness of the strategies in the national context, also in order to propose Italy as an international pilot country for the impact assessment of climate change.
Activity
Production of local and specific climate data and analyses for assessing the impacts of climate change on health supporting the different ORs of the project.
