European Committee of Regions local events: next dates in Cagliari, Rome and Catania

Rome, Cagliari and Catania will be the location of three events organized by the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) to foster citizens’ dialogues about the future of the EU.
On September 21st, 2016, Cagliari will host a citizens’ dialogue, an event focused on climate entitled “Addressing the under 2°C target – experiences and good practices at regional level and Citizens’ Dialogue on Climate Change”.
It is jointly organized by the Sardinia Region, the CMCC Foundation (CMCC) and the Italian Society for Climate Sciences (SISC) within the framework of the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) local events Let’s talk about Europe!
The event will be the first opportunity to present the draft CoR opinion on Delivering the global climate agreement – a territorial approach to COP22 in Marrakesh.

The event will take place after the IV Annual Conference of the Italian Society for Climate Sciences (SISC) “Climate challenges and solutions under the 2°C target”, on October 19-20, 2016 (Aula Magna, Facoltà di Ingegneria e Architettura Via Marengo 2/Piazza d’Armi, Cagliari, Italy).

In October (date to be confirmed) an event will take place in Rome to promote good practices and cooperation between local and regional authorities, at the national and European level. Paolo Di Laura Frattura and Catiuscia Marini, President of Molise and Umbria Region, respectively, and Micaela Fanelli, Mayor of Riccia (Campobasso), will join the event.
In January 2017 (date to be confirmed), another event will take place in Catania.
All the aforementioned events are organized by CoR to engage and  invite citizens to talk about Europe in local and regional public events.
