The CMCC Foundation, in partnership with JPI Climate and the Horizon Europe-funded project MAGICA, is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 7th European Climate Change Adaptation Conference (ECCA2025). Taking place from June 16-18, 2025, in Rimini, Italy, this leading European event will bring together scientists, policymakers, practitioners, and businesses to drive forward climate adaptation strategies.
ECCA is a key platform where emerging climate science and policy meet decision-making at all levels. Under the theme “Smarter, Faster, and More Systemic Adaptation in Europe”, ECCA2025 will explore innovative adaptation solutions, bridge gaps between research and practice, and foster impactful collaborations. The conference will provide a unique opportunity to engage with Europe’s top climate adaptation experts, discover cutting-edge research and policy insights, and connect with stakeholders shaping climate resilience across sectors. Participants will take part in interactive sessions and networking opportunities designed to translate knowledge into action.
As a recognized leader in climate research and innovation, CMCC plays a central role in coordinating the event, ensuring that cutting-edge scientific knowledge informs real-world solutions for climate adaptation.
CMCC researchers will contribute key insights and results in line with the conference’s main themes, answering key questions regarding a future marked by more intense and frequent climate extremes, warmer temperatures, growing cities and increasingly vulnerable coastal areas. Visitors can meet our researchers, exchange ideas, and establish new collaborations at the CMCC conference booth.
