The year of green investments

Global investment in clean energy reached a new record of $260 billion in 2011, up 5% on 2010, according to Bloomberg New Energy Finance.
Investments in solar technology far outstripped that in wind: financings on solar technology reached a 36% increase to $136.6 billion, even though the costs of photovoltaic technology decreased by half. On the contrary, investments in wind power decreased by 17 percent (totalling $74.9 bn) compared to 2010. China and EU incresed their investments ut the more significant news comes from USA with a 33% increase.
