Verena holds a master’s degree in Political Science, Communication, and Public Law with a special emphasis on European Integration, a subject of great significance to her.

Following her graduation, Verena gained her initial professional experience at the FAO in Rome before spending 15 years in the private sector, where she specialised in Project Management.

At CMCC, Verena works as Project Manager for the Regional Ocean Forecasting Service Division and is particularly involved in the management of the Copernicus Marine Service activities of the Division.
