The “International Conference on forest fire risk modelling and mapping” will take place on 30th September – 2nd October, 2013, in Aix en Provence, France.

About the conference – topics
Oral and poster sessions will cover the following topics:
- Characterization of the wildland-urban interface (WUI): Spatial structures; Fuel (flammability, combustibility), etc;
- Vulnerability assessment in WUI: Vulnerability of infrastructures (networks, dwellings, etc); Experimental assessment of vulnerability; Models of vulnerability, etc;
- Post-fire assessment in WUI: Post-fire damage assessment; Post-fire intensity assessment; Resilience of anthropogenic stakes, etc;
- Management in WUI: Fuel breaks for WUI protection; Role of agricultural spaces; Forest management to mitigate vulnerability; Land management and risk planning to limit vulnerability, etc;
- Firefighting in WUI: Defense; Exposure assessment, etc.
