The NEVERMORE project has developed an advanced ICT Toolkit to support evidence-based climate action by integrating climate impact modelling with user-friendly decision-support interfaces. As part of the ongoing development and validation process, the second round of testing for two components of the toolkit—the Local Case Study Tool and the Gamification Tool—is now underway.

Developed within the NEVERMORE project, in which CMCC plays a leading role in climate data production, policy analysis, and the development of training and gamification solutions, the Gamification Tool is designed to enhance understanding of climate change mitigation and adaptation through an interactive learning experience.

The tool takes the form of an educational simulation game that allows participants to explore different strategies to address the impacts of climate change, encouraging engagement with complex climate challenges in an accessible and participatory way.

The event will open with a technical overview of the tool, followed by a live gameplay demonstration led by two Case Study Leaders involved in the project, representing Trentino (Italy) and Norrbotten (Sweden). The session will conclude with a discussion on how the tool can be applied in participatory and educational contexts, providing participants with the key elements needed to facilitate and use the tool independently.
