Kick-off Meeting

The kick-off meeting of the OFIDIAPlus project will be held on November 17–18, 2025, in Lecce, Italy. The project, officially launched on June 17, 2025, is funded by the INTERREG VA Greece–Italy programme.
The event will be hosted by the project’s Lead Partner (LP), the CMCC Foundation – Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change. Over the two-day meeting, all project partners will have the opportunity to present their roles, discuss key activities to be implemented, and plan the next phases of the project. They will also coordinate management tasks and outline strategies for disseminating and exploiting the project’s results.
The main goal of the OFIDIAPlus project is to address gaps in knowledge, accessibility, and operational support that currently hinder the adoption of sustainable wildfire prevention practices in the cross-border area. This will involve further developing and upgrading the infrastructure established during the previous project phase, OFIDIA2. The enhanced system will deliver innovative transnational services designed to improve cross-border wildfire risk management and climate adaptation, incorporating advanced monitoring tools and AI-driven decision-support systems for disaster prevention and emergency response.
The OFIDIAPlus partnership comprises five partners:
