Climate change is now determining the way societies interact with nature. Risk perception, prevention and management are strongly intertwined with the more frequent and extreme weather patterns, heightening exposure and vulnerability. Building long-term resilience is more than a mere technical debate; it is a matter of integrating innovative governance approaches with evidence-based, collaborative real-world solutions.
This CLIMAAX Community of Practice webinar brings together voices from the European projects CARMINE and Pathways2Resilience, which work with European regions at the forefront of climate risk governance. Speakers will share lessons learned, tools and pathways for turning risk assessment into concrete resilience, building governance capacity and fostering local action.

CLIMAAX is designed to contribute to the harmonisation and consolidation of climate risk assessment practices, leaving a lasting legacy for future European initiatives. The CMCC Foundation plays a central role in CLIMAAX by developing a common framework for inclusive and harmonised climate risk assessment at the local and regional levels, while also leading key activities related to dissemination, communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management.
