On September 24, 2010 Venice will host the event VeNIGHT – The European Researcher’s Night in Venice, organized by Ca’ Foscari and IUAV Universities, Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, Unioncamere del Veneto and the Municipality of Venice-Antenna Europe Direct.
The event, promoted by the European Commission, aims at giving citizens the opportunity to meet researchers, reinforcing the relationship between science, school and society and encouraging young people to explore the world of research.
Venice will offer a variety of activities, including guided visits to museums and interactive walks through the Venetian streets, entertainment and information on European research and informal conferences in typical Venetian bars. A big concert in Campo Santa Margherita performed by groups of researchers and by Mercanti di Liquore will close the day.
VeNIGHT’s activities will be free of charge.
