Cagri Alperen Inan graduated in Geological Engineering at Middle East Technical University in 2016. He obtained a joint master’s degree with the collaboration of University of Poitiers and University of Mugla in 2017. In 2023, he got the PhD degree in Earth and Water Sciences in IMT Mines Alès, France with a thesis about artificial neural networks-based flash flood forecast models for early warning systems in southern France. He worked as researcher at University of Strasbourg and University of Naples “Parthenope” in the fields of hydrological and hydrodynamic modelling of floods in different Mediterranean watersheds. Since May 2025, he works as research collaborator for CMCC in the Soil and Water Systems” (SOWAS) division.
