Davide obtained his Bachelor’s degree, cum Laude, in Information Technology Engineering in February 2019 at the University of Salento, with a thesis in Computer Networks.

He continued his studies at the University of Salento and, in April 2022, he obtained the Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, cum Laude. The proposed master’s thesis was entitled: “Fire Weather Indices risk maps generation through Deep Learning approaches”. In this work, he proposed two Conditional Generative Adversarial Networks (CGAN) Pix2Pix architectures for the accurate and physically reliable generation of daily synthetic Fire Weather Index maps. The focus was posed on the EURO-Cordex domain, in a temporal span of 42 years, from 3 January 1979 to 31 December 2020.

Since May 2022, he has been working as a Post-Degree in Machine Learning branch of the Advanced Scientific Computing (ASC) division at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC).

He has both a good theoretical Machine Learning background and Python programming skills. His main interest is studying and developing strong Machine Learning skills applied to climate change related tasks in order to help research development in this field.
