Lilia is a Senior Scientific Manager based in Milan within the ATEC Center, working on climate finance, adaptation, and the macroeconomic implications of the climate transition. Her work combines policy-oriented research with support to the development of financing and investment approaches for climate resilience, including contributions to initiatives in the Global South.

She is also involved in the design and delivery of capacity-building and training activities on climate finance, investment planning, and related policy frameworks, targeting public authorities, financial institutions, and development partners.

Prior to joining CMCC, she spent over six years at the European Investment Bank (EIB), where she supported the design and implementation of investment programmes across the Southern Mediterranean. Her experience includes technical assistance, climate-aligned investments, SME finance, and financial inclusion, working closely with governments, financial institutions, and international partners.
