Francesca Mele is a junior research associate at the Advanced Digital Innovation Center (ADIC) of the Euro Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC), where she has been working since 2016. She currently oversees the High Performance Computing (HPC) research group, which focuses on activities such as performance evaluation, optimization, parallelization, GPU porting and implementation of climate models. She earned a Second Level Master’s Degree in Scientific Programming (2024) and a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering (2012), both from the University of Salento in Lecce. Additionally, she is a member of the NEMO System Team and the HPC Working Group within the NEMO Consortium. Francesca has contributed to several European projects, including IS- ENES, IMMERSE, and ESiWACE.
