Sonia Scardigno obtained her Master’s degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Salento with honors, presenting a thesis entitled: “A Decision Support System for fire danger prevention and monitoring”. The thesis concerns the analysis of information coming from enhanced sensors, an automatic fire detection technology with high-resolution videos from cameras and drones and the implementation of a DSS interface for user interaction with the aim of supporting decision makers in real time. This work contributes to the OFIDIA2 project (Operational FIre Danger preventIon platform 2) funded by the Interreg V-A Greece-Italy Programme.
