CASCADES – CAScading Climate risks: towards ADaptive and resilient European Societies

CASCADES project strives to understand the conditions under which climate risks propagate beyond their geographical and temporal location in ways that may affect European stability and cohesion. It does so via a broad 360° risk assessment and deeper thematic analyses of trade, value chain, financial and political connections between Europe and the rest of the world.

COACCH – CO-designing the Assessment of Climate CHange costs

COACCH (CO-designing the Assessment of Climate CHange costs) is a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and carried out by a consortium of 14 European organisations. COACCH will develop an innovative science-practice and integrated approach to co-design and co-deliver an improved downscaled assessment of the risks and costs of climate change in Europe, working with end users from research, business, investment, and policy making communities throughout the project.

EFFICIENT BUILDINGS

The EFFICIENT BUILDINGS project, as its predecessor MEDNICE, supports the Efficient Buildings Community established within the Interreg Mediterranean programme framework. The community brings together local and national public authorities, energy agencies, enterprises and research organizations to exchanges methodologies, experiences and tools on energy efficiency in the public buildings of the Mediterranean region.

ETC/CCA – European Topic Centre on Climate Change impacts, vulnerability and Adaptation (2019-2021)

The ETC/CCA is a Consortium of European institutions that supply thematic expertise to the European Environment Agency (EEA) working at the interface between science and policy, in support to policy development and implementation in the area of climate change impacts, vulnerability and adaptation across Europe.

SAFERPLACES – Improved assessment of pluvial, fluvial and coastal flood hazards and risks in European cities as a mean to build safer and resilient communities

SAFERPLACES employs innovative climate, hydrological and hydraulic, topographic and economic modelling techniques to assess pluvial, fluvial and coastal flood hazard and risk in urban environments under current and future climates. The service is designed to support the identification and assessment of flood risk mitigation measures and plans, inform climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction strategies, and help to foster multi-stakeholder agreements and partnership for resilience building. SAFERPLACES builds upon the successfully completed 2017 Climate KIC Pathfinder project ‘PLACES – Pluvial flood hazard and risk assessment and mitigation in European cities’.

SAM-PS – Study on Adaptation Modelling

DG Climate Action awarded this tender to a group pf 4 partners lead by CMCC. SAM-PS project focuses in a broad and comprehensive manner on adaptation modelling. Its overall objective is to support better-informed decision-making on adaptation, which is among the priority areas of the EU Strategy on adaptation to climate change.
