General aims
  • the simulation of local effects concerning the climate change scenarios;
  • set up of the tools for downscaling for the Gulf of Gabes in order to simulate the present and future coastal dynamics;
  • the introduction of local anthropogenic power in the simulations of climate change scenarios;
  • the development of a solid and realizable methodology for the definition of priority of risk and impact caused by the combination of climate and anthropogenic impacts on the coastal zones;
  • availability of preliminary informations for the choose of appropriate measures of adaptation and options for the management of the coastal zones (ICZM)

CMCC Role

Cmcc coordinates the whole project, monitors the progress of the activities, the prompt preparation of the reprts, the coordination among all the partners and the lines of scientific research. It also monitors the regular comunication with the CIRCLE-MED Management and Advisory Board about the development of the project.

Activity
  • coordination
  • characterization of the case “study” and database making
  • definition of the methodological approach
  • athmospheric modelling of the regional climate
  • marine and biogeochemical modelling
  • implication for GIZC and adaptation
