
Artic Climate, Terrestrial Carbon-Cycle Climate and Renewable Energy Market Opening 2010 CMCC’s Annual Meeting
Three keynotes speakers opened sessions at 2010 CMCC’s Annual Meeting in Marina d’Ugento (9-11 June 2010). The three-day meeting was a useful opportunity for CMCC’s staff to discuss methodology and outcomes from ongoing research projects and to talk about future programs.
After a brief opening session by Antonio Navrra and Francesco Paparella, Ola M. Johannessen, from the Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center (Norway), opened the CMCC Annual Meeting with his keynote speech on “Artic Climate: Present and Future challenges”.
Prof. Martin Heimann, Director at Max-Planck Institute (Germany) gave a speech on “Terrestrial Carbon Cycle – Climate Feedbacks in a Warming World”, while Dr. Bert Metz, European Climate Fopundation (the Netherlands) and Former Co-Chair of the Working Group on Mitigation of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, introduced the session dedicated to coupling climate and the economy with a speech on the renewable european energy market titled “The recent Roadmap 2050 study from the European Climate Foundation”
