The EURAF 2020 call for abstract (www.euraf2020.eu) is now open. EURAF 2020 is the 5th European Conference on Agroforestry promoted by EURAF, the European Agroforestry Federation.

EURAF 2020 will be held in the island  of Sardinia, Italy, in the heart of the Mediterranean Basin, from the 18th to the 20th of May 2020. In the frame of an ancestral silvopastoral landscape supporting a modern bioeconomy, the hilltown of Nuoro and its territory will host researchers, policy makers, professionals in the agriculture and forestry sectors, landscape and environment experts coming from all over Europe, but also from other parts of the world, to discuss about the implementation of agroforestry systems.

Multifaceted aspects of agroforestry will shape the role and function of tree cultivation intercropped with crops and/or livestock in relationship with climate change, the landscape, and rural development. Research innovation issues along with education and dissemination activities of agroforestry practices will allow the confrontation with policy makers, increasingly intent on supporting the development and adoption of agroforestry as one of the most appropriate agroecological practices to sustain bioeconomy principles and face the urgent environmental challenges, focussing on the current Climate Crisis.

The deadline for abstract submission is December 15th 2019.
