The project Orientgate is now on the Climate – ADAPT platform, while some information about the six case studies carried out under OrientGate’s three thematic centers will be available soon on the same portal.
OrientGate has connected climate change policy planners and decision makers with the communities that produce climate knowledge while exploring climate risks faced by coastal, rural and urban communities and contributing to a better understanding of the impacts of climate variability and change on water regimes, forests and agro-ecosystems.
The European Climate Adaptation Platform (Climate-ADAPT) aims to support Europe in adapting to climate change. It is an initiative of the European Commission and helps users to access and share information on: expected climate change in Europe; current and future vulnerability of regions and sectors; national and transnational adaptation strategies; adaptation case studies and potential adaptation options; tools that support adaptation planning.
