Dr. Edoardo Bucchignani (senior researcher at REMHI Division and leader of the Regional Modelling Unit) has been invited to visit the Department of Chemistry and the School of Science and Engineering of the University of Crete. He will hold a conference about research activities of the CMCC Foundation (with a special focus on the REMHI Division activities) on regional climate modelling for the Mediterranean area.
The visit will take place on July 17-18, 2017, and Dr. Bucchignani will be hosted by Prof. Maria Kanakidou, Director of the Department of Chemistry, University of Crete, and honorary member of IAMAS – International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science.
The invitation is an important recognition for REMHI initiatives carried on in the last years in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
The results of climate projections for the MENA – CORDEX domain (Middle East North Africa) have been presented in two scientific publications and during several presentations at meetings and international conferences.
