L’Assemblea Generale delle Nazioni Unite (United Nations General Assembly – UNGA) ha condotto, il 2 giugno a New York, un Dibattito tematico sulla Green Economy (“Thematic Debate on the Green Economy: A Pathway to Sustainable Development”).

Questo tema, analizzato “nel contesto dello sviluppo sostenibile e dell’eliminazione della povertà”, è anche uno degli argomenti centrali della Conferenza Rio+20 in programma dal 4 al 6 giugno (2012) del prossimo anno.

Il principale messaggio emerso dal confronto è un appello alla volontà politica di porre il mondo sulla via della green economy.
