Sergio Castellari, co-editor of the recent book “Climate change in Italy: evidence, impacts and vulnerability“, published by Bononia University Press, presented the latest outcomes of climate science to a non-technical public.

Venice, May 31, 2010, 18:00 (Aula Magna – Ateneo Veneto)

This talk concludes the series of meetings organized by Ateneo Veneto and University Ca ‘Foscari on issues related to climate. The idea came after the recent summit in Copenhagen and the concerns that climate change may also bring alarming changes on the environment and on the city of Venice. The aim was to give the public more insights about the drivers of climate change.

After the first appointment with the president of Ca ‘Foscari Carlo Carraro and the Italian journalist Valerio Gualerzi, dedicated to climate, politics and science, and the second on climate communication (with the meteorologist Luca Mercalli), this third meeting addresses the issue of likely future scenarios, with Sergio Castellari of CMCC and Carlo Giupponi, Coordinator of the Ph.D. programme in Science and Management of Climate Change (University of Venice) moderating the debate.
