On May 3, 2011, the Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Climate Change (CMCC) and the IdroMeteoClima Service of Arpa Emilia-Romagna have signed a memorandum of understanding to promote joint cooperation activities in the field of climate, climate change and its impacts on human as well as natural systems, with a focus on adaptation and mitigation.

The agreement is aimed also at promoting the opportunity to work together towards the enhancement of the specific areas of expertise, including through the creation of a high-level partnership.
