Short Description

The CMEMS Mediterranean Sea Biogeochemistry Analysis and Forecast dataset consists of daily 3D fields of chlorophyll, net primary production, nitrate, phosphate, dissolved oxygen, carbon biomass of phytoplankton, pH and pCO2 for the period 2013-2017. The dataset is produced by the coupled transport-biogeochemical model OGSTM-BFM and the variational data assimilation scheme 3DVARBIO for surface chlorophyll. The model has a 1/16˚ (ca. 6-7 km) horizontal grid resolution and 72 unevenly spaced vertical levels.
