GANANA project brings together European and Indian efforts in scientific High-Performance Computing (HPC), fostering long-term collaboration through shared resources, expertise exchange, and mobility programmes. Structured around three priority domains (Life Sciences, Geohazards, and Weather & Climate), the project addresses key scientific challenges where HPC plays a crucial role in advancing research and innovation.
This second webinar in the GANANA Webinar Series will focus on the Life Sciences pillar, providing an overview of the progress made since the beginning of the project and the ongoing collaboration between European and Indian partners in this field. The session will explore the main research topics currently being addressed within GANANA, the areas where partners are focusing their efforts, and the opportunities emerging from the combination of HPC and AI for Life Sciences.

The webinar will also open the discussion to participants, providing an opportunity to exchange views on current challenges in Life Sciences, how these challenges are being addressed within GANANA, and the role that advanced computing technologies can play in driving scientific innovation.

CMCC is a partner in the GANANA project through the REMHI and ADIC divisions. The REMHI Division also leads the project’s communication and dissemination activities, so in this sense is organizer of the event.
