April 27, 2021 – h. 14:00 – 14:30 CEST

Ybele Hoogeveen – EEA expert on climate change and bio-economy
Sergio Castellari – Expert on climate change adaptation, National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, Italy.
Our climate is changing, impacting nature and the people. From more frequent droughts to flooding, changes in oceans’ temperatures or growing seasons, it is clear that we need to adapt to this changing climate. How can cities prepare for heat waves? Can nature provide us the solutions we need? Given its role in managing landscapes, agriculture will play a key role.
EEA published recently the new report ‘Nature-based solutions in Europe: Policy, knowledge and practice for climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction’ and will have a 30-minute FB event: ‘EEA Ask an Expert: Can nature provide us solutions?’ with experts (Ybele Hoogeveen and Sergio Castellari) to present this report on 27 April at 14:00.
