European Climate and Energy Modelling Platform
16-17 October 2025 | Brussels and online
More info on the program and participation here
The CMCC Foundation is actively participating in the European Climate and Energy Modelling Platform (ECEMP) 2025, scheduled for October 16–17, 2025, in Brussels and online.
ECEMP 2025 is dedicated to showcasing the latest policy-relevant findings derived from analyses of climate and energy models.
Energy transition targets are legally defined, and models outline paths to reach net zero by 2050. Policies usually flow from the top down, but what about society? This year’s ECEMP edition brings together both qualitative and quantitative research to explore how to speed up implementation. At the same time, it continues to provide insights from model comparisons in energy–climate transition studies while integrating perspectives from the social sciences and humanities.
ECEMP Organizing Committee: Jakob Rager (Chair), Zoi Vrontisi (Co-chair), Davide Natalini (Co-Chair), and Johannes Emmerling (Co-chair).
