CMCC will take part in the 13th European Urban Resilience Forum (EURESFO), taking place from 17 to 19 June 2026 in Guimarães, Portugal. The event will bring together city representatives, experts, and stakeholders from local and regional institutions to discuss strategies and actions for climate change adaptation, disaster risk management, and the strengthening of urban resilience.
The 2026 edition will focus on integrated approaches to climate resilience that go beyond adaptation, highlighting the role of sustainability, innovation, and local leadership in addressing climate challenges. Particular attention will be given to the contribution of small and medium-sized cities in developing citizen-centered and scalable resilience solutions.
Representing CMCC, Lilia Magdoud (ATEC) will participate as both speaker and moderator in the session “Financing Climate Resilience: Bridging Pathways, Projects, and Investment”, scheduled for 18 June.
ORGANISERS: the main organisers are ICLEI Europe, European Environmental Agency (EEA), Município de Guimarães, Laboratório da Paesagem, and the City of Guimarães, European Green Capital 2026. Among the co-organisers is CLIMATEFIT project, in which CMCC is technical partner.
