School | Internal training
15-16 July 2025 | Lecce, CMCC Premises
The ADIC/ATEC joint training “Introduction to Machine Learning for Climate” is aimed to provide an introductory overview of ML for climate change science for those are not familiar with this tool.
By the end of the course, participants will have mastered the fundamental concepts of machine learning and deep learning, and will be able to apply classical regression and classification methods.
They will also understand the basic concepts of neural networks, from perceptrons to deep networks, and will be able to choose a loss function, identify situations of overfitting and underfitting, and apply different training protocols. Participants will also have developed practical skills in using machine learning tools with the Scikit-Learn and PyTorch libraries.
The course is reserved for CMCC researchers.
