Gaia Vaglio Laurin

and PhD in Geoinformation Doctorate, DICII (Department of Civil Engineering and Computer Science), Tor Vergata University – Rome.
Gaia is working in the ERC Africa GHG project – The role of African tropical forests on the Greenhouse Gases balance of the atmosphere, in which lidar and hyperspectral airborne data were collected in moist tropical dense forests. Gaia also serves as consultant at CMCC on earth observation issues and her interests focus in the use of remote sensing for environmental monitoring, using lidar, optical and SAR data for retrieval and classification.
